A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Common homeowner questions.

Are you a government organization?

No. Canadian Utility Savings & Support is an independent non-profit support organization. We do not represent a government, utility or grant administrator, and we do not approve or award funding.

Does my postal code guarantee a rebate?

No. A postal code identifies a broad region only. Utility service area, household income, property eligibility, equipment, assessments and current funding rules must all be reviewed. Never start work on the assumption that funding is guaranteed.

Do I have to use a matched contractor?

No. Submitting a request does not create a contractor agreement. You choose whether to hire a contractor and review their written quote, credentials, warranties and payment terms directly.

How are rebates paid?

Each program has its own rules. Some provide no-cost upgrades, others deduct an incentive from an invoice or reimburse you after an approved claim. Assessments or pre-approval may be required before installation.
